New moms are particularly vulnerable to injury for the first year postpartum. After 9 months of pregnancy, labor and childbirth, the entire body has changed.

Your spine has been pulled out of alignment, your abdominal muscles have separated, your pelvic floor has been under immense pressure and even the quality of your breathing has been affected.

 

For these reasons, it’s ill-advised to jump right back into regular fitness postpartum. It’s also not good to avoid exercise altogether. The right way to re-build your body is to start with your core. Re-training all 4 primary muscles to engage simultaneously and involuntarily is the best defense you have against causing further damage. When your core is fully functional, your abs will reconnect (say good-bye to the mummy tummy), your posture will improve, your pain, leaking and discomfort will disappear and you will be ready to get back to the active lifestyle you once enjoyed.

I am a flexibility, posture and post-natal fitness coach with over 15 years experience in the fitness industry.

My mission is to help women safely rebuild their post-partum bodies and reconnect to their feminine power through movement so they can feel strong, beautiful and confident again.

how i teach

My Technique

As a former professional dancer, yoga practitioner and Pilates coach, I bring a fresh, new approach to body work. By combining dance-based conditioning with Yoga and Pilates I am able to unlock areas of the body that most techniques on their own, don’t reach.  

Training your core is NOT the same as training your abs. I teach the correct techniques to help you re-activate all 4 primary core muscles, not just for healing but to improve posture and enhance overall athletic performance.
Most people think these are mutually exclusive but with my techniques I’ll show you how to get strong while you get flexible. Building flexibility on a foundation of strength is the only way to prevent injuries and ensure your results are sustainable into old age.
Techniques, programs and meal plans are only 20% of what will yield results. Managing your mind is 80% of the work. My programs contain mindset tools to help you retrain your thought and behavior patterns so you can get off the weight loss roller coaster for good!
